On this page, I have gathered my recommendations for what Bornholm can offer.
You can choose between music clubs, different events and museums.
Ask me when you come, and I’ll love to help you find what is best for you.

The music place - Gæstgiveren
If you are lucky to visit the island in the summer, the establishment Gæstgiveren offers live concerts during the whole of the summer. The bands are well known in Denmark. Apart from that, they offer a very tasty dinner-buffet prepared from local produce of Bornholm.

The political rally - Folkemødet
Every June, the whole Danish Parliament meets in Allinge for the biggest political rally you can imagine. In three days, more than 100,000 people gather in Allinge and take part in about 2,700 different events. At no other place is it possible to meet all ministers and the prime minister walking through the streets.

The Bornholm Diamond Spa
If you wish to pamper yourself, you should visit Rønne´s health resort ”The Diamond Spa”, which is built of Bornholm granite, and has a number of different saunas and Jacuzzis. They offer coffee and fresh orange juice in the area.

Svaneke - The cosy getaway “South-East of Paradise”
When you visit Bornholm, Svaneke is a must-go. The beautiful market town has a unique and magical mood, and when you want to relax, you can visit Hullehavn, in walking distance from Svaneke. South-East of Paradise is a little cosy beach-bar, where there is often live music in the evening.

Bornholms kunstmuseum - The Art museum on Bornholm
Visit the Art Museum on Bornholm with its varying exhibitions. The modern architecture is worth a visit in itself, and the permanent exhibition shows exceptional painters such as indigenous Oluf Høst, and impressive creations of the Japanese sculptor Jun-Ichi Inoue, who lived on Bornholm.

Trolling Master Bornholm
If you visit Bornholm in April, the next village from Allinge, Tejn is host for one of the most popular Trolling competitions of Scandinavia. In the course of three days, you can see anglers pulling in 20 kg salmons.

The ”petit” Island Christiansø
Treat yourself to a visit of a very tiny cluster of islands, known as Christiansø. Denmark’s only archipelago is about 20 km from Bornholm with around 90 citizens, their own school, a tiny little post office, their own power station, a mini market, and a guesthouse. The islands have their own spellbinding atmosphere.
